Girls Club vists Estero Life Care Center Spreading Christmas Cheer!

Our First Girls Club Super Yard Sale was a Success!!!

On Saturday, December 4th,  the first Girls Club Super Yard Sale was held at the Rosemary Park Clubhouse.  A big thank you goes out to all our volunteers and supporters who brought many, many fine items to our club to sell.  We had golf clubs, housewares, Christmas trees, clothing, furniture, computers and childrens' toys.  The girls also sold soda,  popcorn and chips to the shoppers, and to each other!

Over $800 was raised!

Money Ladies, Lu, Sally and Carol
The girls worked really hard on Friday afternoon sorting and pricing all of the many items.  Some wonderful ladies helped us as well.  Carol Knowles, Lu Burkell, Mary Ann Hopkins and Mary Ann Mulroy.  These ladies came back on Saturday with their husbands to do the heavy lifting and setting up.
A big THANK YOU to all!  You helped make it a real success.  The girls learned some valuable lessons about hard work and commitment.

GIRLS CLUB of New Horizons of SWFL

Girls Club of New Horizons of SWFL is a program for 4th and 5th grade girls which meets every Friday after school at the Super Kids Club in Rosemary Park, Bonita Springs, FL.  We focus on relationships, life skills and living life as one
of God's own girls.
The girls enjoy making and eating healthy snacks, making crafts, playing games and learning about the Bible and God's plan for them.  We have some wonderful volunteers who have taught the girls to sew, crochet, needlepoint, tie dye and make candy.

We are currently planning a neighborhood Yard Sale and Fun Day for Saturday, December 4th.  We will be looking for donations of clothing, toys and household items.  All proceeds will go to the operation of the Girls Club, and hopefully to visit the Holy Land Experience in Orlando to experience life in the times of Jesus.
